Adams joins Addington Village - 12/02/15

Jancan AdamsJANCAN ADAMS has signed to play for Kent League club Addington Village for the 2015 season.

Adams (24) is a promising seam-bowling all-rounder who has been a prominent figure for Tygerberg Cricket Club in the Western Provice Cricket Association since his introduction as a 17-year-old in 2007/08.

He has been a Western Province squad member throughout the age-groups and courtesy of his club exploits, has gained regular selection for the WP Academy in recent years.

The South African all-rounder has also starred abroad, with a stints in Holland (2010), England (2012), Northern Ireland (2013) and Wales (2014).

Adams boasts excellent stats overseas, with 530 runs at 58.55 and 22 wickets at 12 during his maiden stint abroad with Den Haag, in the Hoofdklasse Competition.

He backed up with 488 runs at 34.86 and 16 wickets at 20.31 in Division 1 of the Northants League for Geddington in 2012.

In 2013, he continued to excel, this time in the second tier of the Northern Cricket Union for Downpatrick taking 32 wickets at 15.44 along with 428 runs at 30.57 in the NCU Section 1.

Last season, playing in the North Wales ECB Premier League, Adams scored 549 runs at 32.29 alongside 27 wickets at 27.81.

Now Adams is set for an English return in 2015, this time to the Kent League for Addington Village.
