Todd Beehre

BLOEMENDAAL have signed Kiwi wicket-keeper Todd Beehre for their 2016 Hoofdklasse campaign.

Beehre (24) is a strong batsman wicket-keeper playing Premier cricket for the Victoria University of Wellington (VUWCC) in the capitals Pearce Cup competition.

In 2014/15, Beehre averaged 50 plus in the Pearce Cup, where the top 6 (from 12) teams compete for 2-Day supremacy in Wellington Club Cricket. Courtesy of his exploits, he was selected in the Wellington City representative side.

In the current season, he has produced several notable performances, including a fantastic innings of 63 after being inserted on a greentop at Kelburn Park. He helped guide his VUWCC from 49-5 to 253-9, sharing a 128-run partnership with former Firebirds player Andrew Lamb.

He has represented his minor association (Northland) through all age-groups and into the senior side and also represented Northern Districts (one of 6 first-class sides in New Zealand) at Under-17 and 19 levels as an opening batsman.

Beehre will enjoy his first stint abroad for Dutch side Bloemendaal who last summer finished 4th in the Hoofdklasse, the Dutch second tier club competition.
