Bridgens (23) is a seam bowling all-rounder who has been the stand-out in the Lincolnshire County League (Premier Division) over the past three seasons.

His 68 wickets at 14.07 in 2014 saw him become the first player in the club’s history to score over 1,000 runs (1,027) and take over 100 wickets (105) in all formats in a season.

On his return in 2015, he topped the wicket-charts with 71 poles at 11.92 and the trend continued in 2016 where he scored 542 runs at 38.71 alongside 45 wickets at 18.24.

During his 2014/15 season in his native South Africa, he broke into Durbanville's 1st XI, in a side that includes a raft of first-class cricketers. He enjoyed a strong season scoring 620 runs at 34.44 alongside 31 wickets at 16.13.

Next summer Bridgens will make a change by moving North Mymms CC who continue their campaign in Hertfordshire Cricket League's Premier Division.
