Burnham reel in Richmond leggie Toby Keast - 27/02/15

Toby KeastSOMERSET League club Burnham-on-Sea have signed British-born Australian spinner Tobais Keast.

Keast (18) is a leg-spinner playing grade cricket for Richmond in the Victorian Premier Cricket Competition.

Since moving from former club Narre Warren (Dandenong District Cricket Association) in 2011/12, Keast has played in the third and predominantly fourth grades for Richmond.

Over 47 matches, he has taken 53 wickets at 24.70 with his leg-spin, alongside 268 runs at 14.89 in the lower-middle order.

Born in Cambridge (UK), Keast immigrated to Australia in 2003 and has enjoyed a raft of junior representative experience, most notably for the Southern Rangers U14s, Southern Pioneers U16s, U18s and the DDCA U16s.

He has also excelled in Indoor Cricket for Victoria through the age-groups. He was named the top Victorian U17 player and gained selection for the Australian All Stars in 2013.

Keast is though, eager to progress in the outdoor version of the game and is hoping a productive summer in the Somerset League will push his claims for higher honours.
