Charlestown's Shah Dorking bound - 24/02/16

DORKING have signed Charlestown all-rounder Parth Shah following their 2015 promotion in the Surrey Championship.

Shah (28) is a current seam bowling all-rounder with the Charlestown District Cricket Club in the Newcastle District Cricket Association first grade competition.

During his time at Charlestown, his highlights have included winning premierships in the Tom Locker Cup (1st grade One-Day) and twice in the U21s competition.

Personally, he has won the first grade Player of the Year on two occasions (11/12 and 12/13) and has collected the first grade bowling aggregate award on five separate occasions with best bowling figures of 7/21 against Wests in the 2010/11 season.

Shah has made many handy contributions down the batting order with the 2014/15 season being quite fruitful with 351 runs with a highest score of 61. In the current season, he has taken 15 wickets at an average of 16.10. 

Shah will make his UK debut in the Surrey Championship for Dorking who were comfortably promoted into Division 3 of the League last summer.
