Cullen's MCC University run spree continues - 28/07/15

Tom Cullen BattingTOM CULLEN'S magnificent run of form continued today striking an undefeated century against Nottinghamshire 2nd XI.

His 111-ball innings helped MCC Universities to 267-7 in response to Nottinghamshire's 350-5 declared courtesy of hundreds to Jake Libby and Billy Root.

It has been a spectacular season for the CricX star who has scored well over 2,000 runs across all formats at various levels already this summer.

At club level, he currently sits amongst the leading run-scorers in the West of England Premier League for Potterne (912 runs at 114) to include 3 centuries. His last six innings for the club read 109*, 146*, 85, 94*, 96* and 78.

In his maiden season for Cardiff MCCU, he has excelled, striking 643 runs at 67, including 285 runs at 47.50 in the MCC Universities Championship.

Courtesy of his success, Cullen has recently played for the MCC Combined Universities (which is effectively the British Universities XI) in the County 2nd XI Championship.

The dual passport holder has dominated with scores of 102* (vs. Worcestershire), 42 and 135* (vs. Leicestershire), 42 (vs. Lancashire) and his most recent 100* against a strong Nottinghamshire outfit.

Cullen has subsequently generated significant interest from numerous counties and is eager to secure a contract moving forward. An outstanding talent, in the form of his life and someone who clearly justifies higher honours.
