Fulham to Forton for promising Adcock - 17/12/14

Luke AdcockSHROPSHIRE COUNTY League club Forton have recruited promising Australian all-rounder Luke Adcock.

Forton finished 8th in division one of the County League last summer and are hoping, with their new overseas star on board, they'll be pushing for promotion in 2015.

Adcock (19) is a talented all-rounder playing A Grade cricket for Fulham in A3 of the Adelaide Turf Cricket Association.

A left-handed opening batsman and front-line leg-spinner, Adcock has played over 90 matches for Fulham dating back to the 2008/09 season playing in the Under-15s.

He has scored over 2,000 runs averaging mid-20s, including two A Grade centuries and averages of 28.64 (2012/13) and 37.64 (2013/14) over the past two seasons.

He struck a brilliant 152 last summer and was awarded the ATCA A4 division “batsman” and “cricketer” of the year, reaffirming him as one of the strongest prospects in league.

Adcock is hoping to make a big impact during his first stint abroad with Forton in 2015.
