Graser set for Skegness - 20/03/15

Chris GraserSKEGNESS have signed promising young Australian batsman Chris Graser for their 2015 season.

Graser (18) is a precocious batting talent playing for Tea Tree Gully in South Australia’s Grade Competition.

He has spent the majority of the past two seasons in the B Grade, but is pushing A Grade selection in a side that includes State Redback’s players Travis Head, Matt Weaver and Tim Davey.

The young left-hander has progressed through the club’s grades, averaged 33.33 and 32.75 during the SACA BankSA Shield Under-17s in 2011/2 and 2012/13 respectively.

He has claimed the Matthew Robinson Award for the “Best Under-17 Player” for Tea Tree Gully and last summer, struck over 800 runs across all formats for both his school’s 1st XI (whom he skippered) and the club.

He currently has 419 runs at 38.09 for Tea Tree Gully this season, including a career best 144.

Whilst known for his batting skills, Graser is a handy medium-pacer and he is eager to impress in the Lincolnshire County Board Premier League for Skegness this summer.
