Hill heads to Champions Scholes - 25/02/16

SCHOLES have signed talented Kiwi wicket-keeper batsman Callum Hill following their 2016 Premiership win.

Hill (18) is currently playing his maiden season for Melville Cricket Club in the Hamilton Premier Club Competition in New Zealand.

He has recently moved north to Hamilton, following a junior career in Christchurch, where he represented the prestigious Christchurch Boys’ High School and respective Canterbury and Canterbury Country age-group sides.

Hill played two seasons for the best cricketing schoolboy 1st XI in the country, namely CBHS, who have won 8 national championships, including 3 of the past 4.

During his final national tournament, he was the fifth leading run-scorer, averaging over 30 and also finished top of the dismissals chart.

He represented and skippered Canterbury Country through the age-groups and was part of the Country Academy and also represented Canterbury at Under-15 level.

Before his move to Hamilton, he had broken into Premier cricket in Canterbury for the star-studded Marist-Harewood side.

Hill will play his maiden stint abroad in 2016 for Drakes Huddersfield Champions Scholes who will be looking to maintain their title this coming season.
