Ingham Essex-bound for Southend & EMT - 02/02/15

Daniel InghamSOUTHEND & EMT have recruited former Otago A seam bowling all-rounder Daniel Ingham for the 2015 season.

Ingham (22) represented the Otago A side during the 2012/13 and 2013/14 National Provincial A tournaments. He also plays for the Albion Cricket Club – one of the strongest club sides in New Zealand that can boast international players such as Neil Wagner and the McCullum brothers.

A new-ball bowler, who bats in the lower-middle order, Ingham is originally from Wairarapa, where he completed 5-years at Wairarapa College.

He also represented both Wairarapa and Central Districts through the age-groups and became a key figure for the senior Hawke Cup side, winning the Rance Cup for best bowler taking 14 wickets at 20.57 in his final season (2011/12) for the province before heading south.

He is now into his final semester of a 4-and-a-half-year Physical Education degree at the University of Otago, double majoring in Sports and Exercise Science and Sport and Leisure Studies.

Ingham is hoping he can make a big impact for Southend & EMT in Division 1 of the Essex Cricket League in 2015.
