Ketton Lions pounce on Dolphins' Ben Bryant - 17/01/15

Ben Bryant 100KETTON LIONS have signed London-born Sydney Grade batsman Ben Bryant for the 2015 season.

Bryant (20) plays for Eastern Suburbs, known as the Dolphins who in recent years have featured international stars including David Warner, Brad Haddin (Australia), Sam Robson and Jason Roy (England).

Over the past three seasons, Bryant has played across the grades, albeit predominantly in the 2nd and 3rd Grades along matches in the Poidevin-Gray Shield. He has scored 1,218 runs at 19.12 over 82 matches including 8 fifties and 1 century (106).

Bryan played a raft of representative cricket through the age-groups. He captained the South Eastern sides from Under-11s to 16s, played NSW Emerging Blues from Under-13s to 16s and was a NSW Under-17s and 19s squad member.

Bryant is a talented cricketer who comes highly recommended by numerous sources, including his Easts’ head coach and Australian legend Michael Bevan who states the following:

“….he has two overriding qualities I believe that would make him an ideal overseas player for any English based club side; talent and work ethic. He is one of the hardest working and most diligent trainers at our club always spending time working on improving his game and setting a great example to other cricketers.

Ketton, who will play in the Cambs and Hunts top flight in 2015, will be hoping their new Aussie recruit will live up to his strong billing this coming summer.
