Kamran Younas

KEW have pulled off a coup ahead of their TVCL campaign with the signing of Pakistani pro Kamran Younas.

The 31-year-old is a high-class all-rounder who boasts tremendous records in both Pakistani domestic cricket and league cricket here in the UK.

A domestic veteran of 173 matches across the three formats spanning a career dating back to 1999/00, Younas has scored 5,329 runs at 27.19 with 6 centuries and 26 fifties. With his left-arm spin, he has captured 103 wickets at 37.61.

A genuine all-rounder, Younas represented Pakistan Under-19's and played for the national side at the Hong Kong 6s. He was in the reserve squad for two ICC Cricket World Cups but, despite dominant performances at domestic level, he failed to gain a full national debut.

Nevertheless, Younas continues to shine in domestic cricket, most recently for Port Qasim Authority following 48 first-class matches for Sialkot.

He has also been a stand-out performer in English league cricket playing each and every season since his debut for Milnrow back in 2009.

Following his debut in the Central Lancashire League for Milnrow, he spent the next three seasons in the Ribblesdale League for Whalley (2010-11) and Baxenden (2012).

Younas was a revelation, particularly with the ball taking 71 wickets at 16.37 during his opening stint for Whalley, before an incredible 103 wickets at 11.24 in 2011.

During his three seasons in the Ribblesdale League, he topped 800 runs each season including notable scores of 190 and 184 for Whalley and Baxenden respectively.

Over the past three seasons, he has played in the strong Bolton Cricket League, firstly two stints with Little Lever (2013-14) then last summer with Bradshaw (2015).

He continued to shine, striking a quite spectacular 211 in 2013 alongside 75 wickets at 17.87.

Wickets have followed over the past two seasons - 49 and 61 in 2014 and 2015 respectively, albeit he suffered a dip in form with the bat, averaging 29.67 and 24.26.

Nevertheless, Younas has been one of the stand-out professionals over the past 6 seasons and, following his move south to Uxbridge (West London), the spousal visa holder has signed with Thames Valley Cricket League club Kew for the 2016 season..
