Driaan Bruwer

LINDEN PARK have landed the signing of former South African Under-19 star Driaan Bruwer.

Bruwer (21) is a wonderful prospect playing first-class cricket for Free State in South Africa. A genuine all-rounder, Bruwer is a powerful left-hand batsman who bowls off-spin, who boasts an excellent record in his youthful domestic career to date.

He made his Free State debut in January 2015 and has, to date, played 5 matches, were he averages 39.42 and 22.66 with bat and ball respectively.

At age-group level, Bruwer has represented numerous sides, most notably the Northerns Under-19s (Coke Week), Titans Cubs (Franchise Cubs Week) and South African Under-19s (ICC Under-19 World Cup in Dubai in March 2014).

Bruwer is enjoying a successful first-class season for Free State, with three successive half-centuries and highest score of 86 in his last 3 first-class matches.

The former South African Under-19 star has recently signed with Kent League club Linden Park, in what will be his first stint playing UK league cricket in 2017.
