Nasir (32) is a high-class left-hand batsman who boasts an impressive record in Pakistani domestic cricket. In 28 first-class matches, the Rawalpindi run machine has churned out 1,498 runs at 28.26 including three centuries. However, it was in the Quad-e-Azam final last year that pushed his name into the limelight. Nasir struck a brilliant 177 in the second innings which ultimately guided his side to the title and, of course he quite rightly was named the Man-of-the-Match. He concluded the 2013/14 season with 656 runs at 38.58 finishing second to Pakistani T20 player Awais Zia as Rawalpindi’s leading run-scorer during their triumphant campaign. Nasir is eager to impress for Lullington Park this summer after a dominant maiden stint back in 2012. Playing for Wellingborough Indian’s, he struck 583 runs at 64.77 and was the Northamptonshire League’s (Division 1) fifth leading run-scorer, despite only playing 11 innings. Showing his all-round ability in league cricket, Nasir also captured 22 wickets at 17.36 with his off-spin, including a best bowling of 5-49.
