Maiden ton's for Larkin and Henry - 10/11/14

Scott Henry Ton CRICX stars Nick Larkin and Scott Henry scored their maiden first-class centuries for New South Wales today.

The pair shared a 152 second wicket stand before Larkin was dismissed for a magnificent 130 following up his 78 scored in the first-innings.

At stumps on day three in Adelaide, Henry was 107 not out, adding to his half century (56) in the first innings.

Born in Taree in country New South Wales, Larkin has an Irish passport owing to his Dublin-born grandfather and has played one-day games for Ireland in July this year, but is now making his name for his home state.

Larkin has been a prolific run scorer for Sydney University in grade cricket in recent years. This summer he 157 in Round 2 against Eastern Suburbs and to date has scored 349 runs at 58.17.

His University and NSW team-mate Henry registered his maiden century in his 23rd first-class match for the Blues. He has been well-regarded ever since scoring 207 for the Cricket Australia Chairman's XI in a tour game against the Sri Lankans in December 2012.

However, that game did not have first-class status and it was not until this current game against South Australia that he reached his first century.
