McLeay joins O'Connor at Coggeshall - 07/04/16

PROMISING young Australian batsman Sam McLeay will join WACA Rookie Liam O'Connor at Coggeshall Town this summer. 

McLeay (20) currently plays for St. Peters Old Collegians Cricket Club where he is a member of the A Grade squad. Previously McLeay played Junior cricket at District clubs Kensington and Prospect before being selected in the School 1st XI at the age of 15.

He played 3 full seasons of 1st XI cricket as a wicketkeeper batsman from 2010 to 2013. During this period, he struck two centuries and 6 half centuries.

Since graduating school, McLeay has played A and B Grade cricket for SPOC as well as a number of A Grade T20 games.

The South Australian has recently agreed to play for Coggeshall Town as their 2nd XI Overseas player for the upcoming 2016 season.
