Pakistani pair pile on opening round tons - 31/10/14

Wajihuddin CRICX stars Saeed Bin Nasir and Wajihuddin have struck centuries in the opening round of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.

The experienced campainers shared a 218-run fourth wicket partnership, with their centuries guiding their United Bank Limited to a strong position after day two against Lahore Lions.

Skipper Bin Nasir finished the day 118 not out from 192 balls, whilst Wajihuddin (pictured) was 109 from 156 deliveries including 13 fours and 2 sixes.

United Bank are now in a commanding position, having bowled the Lions out for 216 on the first day. In reply, they are 358-4 at the end of day two, some 142 runs ahead.

Both players are hoping for bumper domestic seasons in 2014/15 before returning to play for whichever clubs pick up the model professionals for the UK 2015 season.
