Dain Moreton

GREAT & LITTLE TEW have signed Perth batting prospect Dain Moreton following their 2015 Home Counties promotion.

Dain Moreton (21) is a top-order batsman who bowls left-arm orthodox spin. He has established himself as an integral member of Perth’s first-grade side, since his debut in 2013/14.

He has since played over 30 first-grade matches, to include the WADCCC Statewide T20 games. In 2014/15, he averaged 20.90 and 29.80 in first grade and WACA Colts League matches respectively.

Moreton was awarded the Adam Gilchrist Scholarship to play for Richmond in the Middlesex League in 2012 (282 runs at 25.64 and 23 wickets at 20.04) and returned last year to play in the top tier of the Two Counties Cricket Championship for Hadleigh, scoring 716 runs at 32.55 alongside 10 wickets at 30.70.

Moreton will now head to the UK once again, this time for Home Counties side Great and Little Tew who were comfortably promoted into Division 1 of the League last season.
