Potterne re-sign Cardiff MCCU's Tom Cullen - 16/10/14

Tom Cullen POTTERNE have re-signed Cardiff MCCU keeper/batsman Tom Cullen for their 2015 WEPL campaign.

Cullen (22) enjoyed a prolific summer for Potterne in 2013, hitting 1,126 runs at 59.26 across all formats, to include 808 runs at 50.50 to finish second on the West of England Premier League Glos/Wilts Division run charts.

His exploits not only helped Potterne to promotion, but selection for the Wiltshire Academy. He scored centuries against Devon (116), Berkshire (100*) and the Devon 2nd XI (112*), alongside 96* vs Cornwall 2nd XI for Wiltshire's 2nd XI and was named the Wiltshire Academy "Player of the Year".

The Australian-born British Passport holder has since played club cricket for both Westbury (WEPL) and Heywood (Central Lancashire League), before heading to Cardiff University to study, where its anticipated he'll feature for the MCCU side in 2015.

Cullen is a proven performer and has returned to his beloved Potterne next season to help them push for yet another promotion.
