Mostert recently produced a record-breaking, match-winning performance for the province, striking 159 following 5-68 in the first-innings against Mid-Canterbury in the national Hawke Cup competition.

Thereafter, Mostert embarked on the first of three seasons in England, for Saddleworth and District club Moorside.

Over his three years with the club, Mostert racked up 1,868 runs at 26.69 with two centuries across league and cup cricket.

With the ball, he was one of the league’s most feared seamers, taking 209 wickets including season tally’s of 70 at 10.53 (2012), 68 at 18.28 (2013) and 71 at 12.43 (2014).
