ALTOFTS have signed young all-rounder Jordan Price ahead of their their Bradford Cricket League campaign.

Price (24), a former Beechan Cliffe schoolboy, has represented Gloucestershire Academy, 2nd XI, the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) Young Cricketers and acted as 12th Man for England during their Test series against Sri Lanka.

He spent six years of first team cricket with Lansdown (predominantly in the Bristol and North Somerset Division of the WEPL) and in 2011 broke into the Gloucestershire Academy.

Price played five 2nd XI Championship matches for Gloucestershire and took figures of 4-22 (8) on debut against the MCC YC’s, before an excellent spell of 3-25 (10) against Glamorgan, finishing the Championship season with 10 wickets at 20.70.

In 2013 he joined WEPL Premier Club Bath, where he continued to excel, taking 20 wickets at 10.35, including a remarkable spell of 6-9 against Chippenham in the opening round of the ECB National T20 Competition.

Following his current season in Australia (Boisdale Briagolong), Price will return to his home country to play for Altofts in the strong Bradford Cricket League.
