Quatter Cargo returns to avenge relegation - 17/01/15

Hayden CargoKIWI Hayden Cargo has agreed to return to his beloved Quatt in 2015 hoping to avenge last summers relegation.

Cargo (27) blasted 334 runs at 27.83 and took 26 wickets at 18.03 for Quatt last season, but unfortunately the club suffered relegation from division three of the Birmingham and District Premier League.

They will be aiming to win the Shropshire Premier League once again and gain promotion back to the BDPCL in 2015.

The explosive left-hand batsman and leg-spinner plays club cricket in the Hamilton Premier Competiton for Melville Cricket Club, for whom he has skippered for four years.

Over the past few seasons he has embedded himself as one of the club’s leading players, winning the MVP trophy for the 2009/10 and 2011/12 seasons and scoring the most runs in the 2011/12 season.

He has consistently featured in the top 12 for “Player of the Season” points in a competition that features Blackcaps’ Daniel Vettori, Anton Devcich and BJ Watling (when available) along with numerous first-class players.
