Sandwich Town have signed Canterbury and New Zealand A star Cam Fletcher for their 2019 Kent Premier League campaign.

Fletcher (25) is an exciting wicket-keeper batsman playing for Canterbury and currently pushing national honours.

Since his first-class / List A debut’s in February 2013, Fletcher has played 128 matches across the three formats scoring 3,192 runs at 31.60.

Fletcher was Canterbury’s “Player of the Year”, “Batsman of the Year” and “Player’s Player of the Year” courtesy of his run-scoring exploits last summer hitting 506 runs at 31.62 and 275 runs at 68.75 in first-class and T20, in-particular.

He has taken his form into the current 2018/19 season and, at the point of writing has 324 runs at 40.50 with two hundred’s in first-class cricket, to include a century for New Zealand A against the touring Indian A side in November 2018, which he backed up with scores of 79 and 108 in Plunket Shield fixtures against Auckland and Otago, respectively.

The talented Canterbury star is keen to continue his purple patch and has recently signed to play for Sandwich Town in the Kent Premier League for the 2019 season, following his maiden UK stint with Drakes Huddersfield club Golcar back during his run-filled 2013 summer.
