Usman Tariq signs for Flixton - 07/10/15

usman2FLIXTON snap up experienced all-rounder Usman Tariq in early preparation for 2016.

Usman Tariq (31) is regarded as one of the most consistent professionals to have graced league cricket in the past decade.

The British Passport holding all-rounder has dominated the Bolton, Central Lancashire, Merseyside and most recently the Lancashire League since the turn of the century.

A left-hand top order batsman and right-arm off-break bowler, Tariq has also excelled in his native Pakistan, since his List-A debut at 13-years-young.

He boasts an enviable domestic record with 11,148 runs at 35.17 (19x100s, 66x50s) and 95 wickets at 36.58 across the three formats during his 241 matches to date.

As a league professional, few can rival Tariq’s statistics. Since his records were maintained (dating back to 2004), Tariq has churned out 12,872 runs at 56.21 plus 478 wickets at 19.64 in league cricket.

After 2 seasons with Lancashire League club Church, Tariq has recently signed with former Bolton Association club Flixton, who will play in the inaugural Greater Manchester Cricket League next season.

He will no doubt be looking to replicate his performances for his newly adopted club next summer.
