Wollaston recruit Kensington's Nicholas Mosey - 30/01/15

Nicholas MoseyWOLLASTON have signed promising batsman Nicholas Mosey for their 2015 Northants Premier League campaign.

Mosey (20) plays his cricket in South Australia’s top flight club competition (SACA) for the prestigious Kensington District Cricket Club.

He is into his second full season in A Grade, in a side that currently includes first-class players Jake Brown, Daniel Worrall, Elliot Opie, Aaron O’Brien, Alex Ross and Andrew McDonald (South Australian Redbacks) and English recruit Freddie van den Bergh (Surrey).

Mosey is a former age-group representative player, who finished second to Kelvin Smith (Redbacks, Australia National Performance Squad) on the South Australian run charts during the Australian Under-19 Championships in December 2013 (averaging 32).

He now opens the innings for Kensington's A Grade side and, at the point of writing averages 25.85 across the three formats including fifties against Northern Districts and West Torrens this summer.

Mosey made his senior debut for Kensington in 2011/12, then his A Grade debut the following summer, in which he averaged 26.15 across the lower grades. In 2013/14 he played a split of A (9)and B (8) Grade matches, averaging 12.88 and 32.70 respectively.

The talented batsman has now though cemented his spot in Kensington’s top order in the A Grade and is looking to progress in the game with a productive season for Wollaston in the Northamptonshire Premier League this summer.
