Ryan Ninan (33) is a former Indian first-class and IPL all-rounder now skippering Hawthorn-Monash Hawks in Victorian Premier Cricket. An off-spinner and explosive middle-order batsman, Ninan spent 12 years playing representative cricket for both Karnataka through the age-groups and senior team (2009/10-2012/13) and Goa at first-class level (2008/09).

He played 12 domestic matches, including 4 first-class scoring 205 runs at 51.25, including a highest score of 88* alongside 10 wickets at 34.90 with best match figures of 5-74. Ninan was an IPL contracted player over a 4-year period to include 2-year stints with Kings XI Punjab (2009-10) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (2011-12).

In 2013, Ninan relocated to Australia and is currently studying a Masters in Sports Management at Deakin University in Melbourne. He played 4 matches for the Hawks in 2013/14 (179 runs at 44.75 and 8 wickets at 25) in Victoria’s top flight club competition and is currently the 1st XI skipper and spin bowling coach for the club in 2014/15. He then absolutely excelled for the club in 2015/16 - 524 runs at 65.50 and 25 wickets at 22.40 lay testament to this.

The former IPL star headed to England in 2016 and helped guide his Grappenhall CC to promotion courtesy of 546 runs at 78 and 34 wickets at 18.29. Whilst the club are were to retain him, for their Cheshire County Cricket League (Premier) campaign in 2017, Ryan embarked on a journey to Holland to play for HCC. He ended up spending two successful summers with the Dutch club, excelling particularly with the ball.

The all-rounder is an accredited BCCI and Cricket Australia level 2 coach represents an outstanding overseas option, should he decide to return. Given his experience, he will be a highly sought after recruit for any club in 2019.
