Walkden went through the Lancashire age group system and represented the Academy side & 2nd XI in recent times, along with playing for Derbyshire 2nd XI. The impressive Englishman has a County 2nd XI hundred to his name, and is now representing Cumbria in the NCCA Championship and been impressing with both bat and ball.
The all-rounder is no stranger to Aussie shores either, having spent the 2022/23 season playing in the Sydney Shires Comp for Strathfield, where he was an important part in the Flag winning side. During the season he scored 427 runs at 28 and took 33 wickets at 15.
Walkden has represented Airport West St Christophers Cricket Club in the strong VTCA the last two season scoring nearly 1000 runs in the early 30s and taken 53 wickets at 14. The Englishman has also been the clubs curator and also heavily involved in the coaching side of things.
