Sanjula Bandara

Sanjula Bandara is a promising Sri Lankan all-rounder making his mark with Ragama Cricket Club, one of the country’s most prestigious domestic sides. Endorsed by renowned commentator and Ragama president Roshan Abeysinghe, he offers valuable lower-middle-order runs and steady off-spin.

Bandara made his List A debut in March 2019, and despite COVID stalling his early progress, he returned strongly in 2022, breaking into both the T20 and first-class sides and quickly establishing himself across all formats. He has since taken 37 wickets at an average in the low 30s, while chipping in with useful runs whenever opportunities have come his way.

His all-round potential was fully on show during his maiden UK season in 2024, when he starred for Crossflats in Division 2 of the Bradford League. He piled on 574 runs at 35.88, including two centuries and two fifties, and shone with the ball by claiming 32 wickets at 23.22, twice taking five in an innings. In 2025, he returned to England with Milford Hall in the South Staffordshire League, producing more modest numbers but still demonstrating flashes of his quality.

With valuable domestic and overseas experience under his belt, Bandara is determined to return to the UK in 2026 and deliver the kind of all-round performances that underline his growing reputation.
