Kavindu Amantha is a rising all-round talent making his mark with Ace Capital in Sri Lankan domestic cricket. A top-order batter and skilful off-spinner, he broke into the professional scene in June 2023 and has quickly established himself as a key figure in the side. His early career highlights include a highest score of 57 and best bowling figures of 4 for 30, underlining his value in both disciplines.

Amantha’s path to the professional game was paved by an outstanding schoolboy career, where he piled on runs in both school and domestic age-group cricket. Before stepping up to Ace Capital, he played a pivotal role in his Emerging team’s U23 Championship triumph, signalling his readiness for the next level.

In 2025, Amantha enjoyed his first taste of UK league cricket with South Wingfield in the Derbyshire League, where he showcased his all-round skills by scoring 385 runs and taking 38 wickets at an impressive average of 13. Now a qualified coach, he combines playing ability with a strong cricketing mind, making him a valuable addition on and off the field.

Eager to build on his early success, Amantha is targeting a return to the UK in 2026 for his second stint, determined to further develop his game and make an even bigger impact.
