Arsal's cricketing journey began on the international stage as part of Pakistan's Under-19 squad at the 2016 U19 World Cup, where he also took 5 wickets in 6 Under-19 ODIs, with best figures of 4/50. There, he gained invaluable experience facing some of the world's best young talents, including England's Sam Curran, Dan Lawrence, and Saqib Mahmood. This early exposure to high-level competition helped him develop the temperament and skill needed to succeed in professional cricket.

Since then, Mohammad has cemented his place in Pakistan's domestic circuit, making his first-class debut for Islamabad in October 2016 and later adding spells with Lahore Whites, Punjab and Oil and Gas Development Company Limited, for whom he was still playing in February 2026. In 18 first-class matches he has scored 637 runs at an average of 30.33 with a highest score of 91 and three fifties, and taken 19 wickets with his off-spin. In T20 cricket he has taken 19 wickets at 22.89, with a best of 3/14.

His 2025 UK stint was nothing short of sensational. Representing Brixham in the highly competitive Devon League, Arsal dominated Division 1, scoring 808 runs at an extraordinary average of 89.78, including four centuries and a highest score of 116 not out, while adding 22 wickets with his off-spin at 17.64. He returned in 2026 and was even better: 912 runs at 91.20, with a century (119 not out) and ten fifties, plus 31 wickets at 12.81, including a best of 5/24. Across his two seasons with the club he scored 1,720 runs at 90.53 and took 53 wickets at 14.81.
