Tevyn Walcott

Tevyn Walcott is an accomplished wicketkeeper-batter from the beautiful island of Barbados, known for his elegant stroke play and reliable presence behind the stumps. He made his first-class debut in January 2018 for a star-studded Barbados team against the Windward Islands, immediately showing his grit with a solid 49 against a bowling attack that included West Indies internationals Kyle Mayers, Shermon Lewis, and Shane Shillingford. That debut innings set the tone for a promising career at the top level, and since then, Walcott has played 24 first-class and 28 List A matches.

In first-class cricket, he holds a respectable batting average of 25.62, highlighted by four half-centuries and a best score of 87 not out. Behind the stumps, his fast hands and tidy glove work have earned him wide praise, culminating in the highest number of dismissals in the 2023/24 first-class season. Renowned as a true team player, Walcott consistently adapts to whatever role his side requires in any situation.

Walcott has also enjoyed success playing in the UK, featuring for Farnworth CC in the Bolton League in 2021, Ballyspallen in the North West Cricket Union in 2024, and Alrewas in the Derbyshire Premier League in 2025. In his debut overseas season, he impressed with 618 runs at an average of 36.35, including a brilliant 101 off 94 balls against Lostock CC, and earned his ECB Level 2 coaching qualification. Building on that experience, he then moved to Ireland, where he excelled on a challenging, rainy summer, averaging 56.67 with 510 runs from just 11 innings. Although his form dipped slightly the following summer in England, he still maintained a solid average in the 30s for Alrewas.

A class player with proven ability both with the bat and gloves, Tevyn Walcott is now eager to return to the northern hemisphere for another season in 2026.
