Izabella Cilliers

Izabella Hester (Izel) Cilliers is a seasoned professional cricketer whose leadership, consistency, and technical skill with the bat have made her a standout in South African women’s cricket. A right-handed top-order batter, she captains the Knights Women’s Cricket Team, guiding her side with both strategic acumen and match-winning performances.

With over a decade of competitive experience, Izel has represented Free State U19, SA U19, the CSA National Women’s Academy, and Northwest Women, and gained valuable international exposure on the CSA Women’s Emerging Tour to Zimbabwe. Her record speaks for itself: in 98 Provincial League matches, she has scored 2,389 runs at 28.10, including a highest score of 126*, while in 60 T20 appearances she has amassed 1,168 runs at 26.54, with a top score of 103*. Multiple centuries and half-centuries across formats underscore her reliability as a run-scorer under pressure.

Her cricket journey has been defined by leadership and achievement. She has worn the South African colours at U19 level, been selected twice for the CSA National Women’s Academy, and competed in the Women’s Super League. In 2025, she showcased her adaptability and class overseas, dominating the Glos League for Marshfield with 571 runs at an average of 71.38, making her the competition’s leading performer.
