Dan Laver is a versatile and skilful seam bowling all rounder playing for Bradley Stoke Cricket Club in the West of England Premier League's Bristol and North Somerset League. Since making his First XI debut in 2016 at 15, Laver has been a main stay within the side raking up 158 matches for the side within one day and T20 where he has excelled especially in the last 5 years.
He has taken 179 wickets at an average of 22 and strike rate of 24 to go alongside over 2300 runs in his 1XI career where his stock has risen over the last 3 seasons with both facets with tally's of 503 (2022 season), 712 (2023 season) & 589 runs (2024 season) with the bat and over 20 wickets for the team in each season since 2019.
Last seasons performances earned Laver the clubs top run scorer in the league for the Bradley Stoke and in the top 5 runs scorers within the league as well (513 runs at 30.18).
The past 2 winters Laver has plied his trade in Australia representing Latrobe Demons Cricket Club in Tasmania for the 23/24 season and West Newport Cricket Club in Melbourne for the 24/25 season. Within the first stint he picked up the clubs 1st Grade T20 player of the year and bowling average winner for the club with 23 wickets at an average of 18.74. He was also named the clubs players player of the year as a result of his performances and all round excellent club work. In his two stints he has taken 53 wickets at 19.43 and scored 860 runs at 20.98, with best figures of 5/35 and a top score of 59.
With 14 fifties and 1 hundred to go with 4 five wicket hauls at Bradley Stoke (1XI) along with 5 fifties and 1 five wicket haul down under, Laver will be looking to progress further this summer before hopefully returning down under for the 25/26 season. Dan is also a qualified ECB Level 1 coach and also has a degree in Sports Coaching & Performance + Applied Sports Conditioning and Exercise and is keen to get involved with junior coaching as much as possible, as he has done on his previous stints down under.
