Tom Griffiths is an emerging cricketer and dedicated coach, currently playing for Sentinel Cricket Club in the Shropshire County Premier League. A right-handed opening batter and right-arm off-spinner, Tom enjoyed a breakout 2024 season after moving into the top order. He scored 450 runs across 18 innings, showcasing consistency and adaptability against quality opposition. With the ball, he contributed nicely, claiming 13 wickets in just 50 overs, adding valuable depth to his team’s bowling lineup.
His impressive all-round performance earned him Sentinel CC’s U21 Player of the Year, a spot in the Shropshire CCC Academy for summer 2025, and selection in the training squad for the Men’s Minor Counties side over the winter.
Tom has already started the 2025 season strongly, including a fluent 53 off 50 balls against Birmingham League side Stourbridge CC.
Off the field, Tom is an ECB Level 1 qualified coach and holds a degree in Sports Coaching, which he’s eager to use both in the UK and abroad. He’s passionate about youth development and cricket education, and is also actively involved in ground maintenance at his home club, providing a well-rounded contribution to the cricketing environment.
Tom is keen to explore overseas opportunities for the 2025/26 off-season, both as a player and coach, and brings not only talent and dedication but also a strong work ethic and deep understanding of the game on and off the field.
