Theo Nicholson is a right-handed opening batter and right-arm medium-pace all-rounder, currently representing Barnes CC / Cranham CC in Middlesex and GLC competitions. He has also played 1st XI cricket at both university and school level, bringing experience from multiple competitive environments.
In the 2024 season, Theo averaged 52.4 across all formats, including a strike rate of 110 in 50-over matches at university level. He has carried that form into 2025, scoring 119 on debut for Newcastle University. His performances are complemented by a strong passion for fielding, with experience in key positions such as slips, covers, and boundary.
In 2022, Theo was honoured as Player of the Year at Cheltenham College, an award recognising not just on-field contributions but also impact on team culture and leadership.
As he begins to establish himself at Barnes CC, his goal is to break regularly into the First XI and continue to test himself at higher standards. School and university commitments have previously limited this, but he is now fully committed to developing as a cricketer and is also working towards full MCC playing membership and eager to represent the MCC whenever possible.
With a strong work ethic, proven performances, and a love for contributing to team success, Theo is keen to bring value both on and off the field at a club overseas.
