Duncan Brown (23) is an explosive keeper batsman from South Africa who is now based in Nottingham, England.
Growing up in South Africa, where he developed his game in a competitive environment that shaped a fearless approach at the crease. After moving to England, at the age of 17, he was soon invited to joined the Yorkshire U18 county pathway and averaged 85 before visa restrictions cut his eligibility short.
Brown who holds an Indefinite Leave to Remain Visa has been playing in the strong Huddersfield Premier League for the last few years, after previously starring for the famous Scarborough Cricket Club in the strong ECB Yorkshire Premier League. Attending University , Duncan was selected to play for Leeds/Bradford MCCU, where he competed in semi professional matches against county opposition and finished last season as the team’s leading run-scorer. Facing county attacks has pushed his game to a higher level and given him confidence in his ability to perform against top-quality bowling.
Alongside playing, Duncan has been coaching junior cricket every summer since 2022. Duncan has a passion working with young players, keeping sessions fun and energetic while helping them develop their skills and confidence.
Brown is currently playing in Australia this winter but will be returning to the UK come April and will have accommodation in Bingham.
No doubt a serious player and excellent addition.
