Abigail Hotton is one of New Zealand’s most promising young spin-bowling talents, based out of Christchurch.

Currently making an impact in the Canterbury Magicians setup, the 22-year-old has already played seven senior professional fixtures as well as her age-group representative honours.

A right-arm off-spin bowler and capable middle-order batter, Hotton featured in the 2023 U19 Women’s World Cup, helping New Zealand reach the semi-finals.

The 'Kiwi' has played in high-profile fixtures since, including the NZ North v South matches in both 2023 and 2025. Hotton was also part of Canterbury’s Super Smash title winning squad in 2023 and is now in her third year as a full-time contracted cricketer with the Magicians.
