McDowell is a former NSW Country 17s player representing them in the National Championships in Tasmania a couple of years ago. The gloveman now plays in NSW Premier Cricket for the famous Manly Warringah Cricket Club where he has played in the 2nd Grade side in recent times but at present is a regular in the 3rd Grade and the PG's side.

The Aussie is eager to keen to develop and keep working on his game. He sees 6 months in the UK as an exciting part of his cricketing journey and development.

No doubt a more than handy pick up. He is also travelling with his partner so would need suitable accommodation.
