George Rickard is an exciting and highly talented batting all-rounder currently playing for Werrington Cricket Club in the ECB Cornwall Premier League. George made his Premier League debut at the age of 15, one of the youngest players in the club to ever do so. Since then, George has gained a reputation as being one of the brightest talents within the county.
George also represents Cornwall U18s, Cornwall CCC Development XI, and captains his school side Mount Kelly. Throughout his career, he has scored 3,523 runs at an average just shy of 30. George's stats continue to grow and he is aiming for another big summer in 2026.
Although George's stats weren't the best during 2025, he still had a few notable innings, with 3 scores of 50+, including a 74 vs the 'Devon Dumplings', an inivitational side made up of Devon Premier League and A Division cricketers. George also made a crucial 45 vs National Club Championship runners-up Penzance Cricket Club, who are widely regarded as having the best club bowling attack in the country.
With the ball in 2025, George managed to pick up several wickets, finishing as the leading wicket taker in his school side with 21 at an average of 17.33, with best figures of 4/27. In club colours, George picked up 10 wickets, taking the new ball on various occasions and finishing with best figures of 4/17, averaging 15.20.
George hopes to have another successful summer this season and has high hopes of breaking into the Cornwall CCC minor counties side.
