A talented batting all-rounder and highly regarded coach, Taha has developed his game across several clubs in London and the Surrey Championship. He began his cricketing journey at Eltham Cricket Club before moving to Spencer Cricket Club, where he has become an integral figure both on and off the field. Alongside representing the club across the Third, Fourth and Fifth XI sides, he currently serves as Head Coach, leading programmes across multiple age groups and standards.
Ahead of the 2026 season, Taha retained his Head Coach role at Spencer while making the move to Dorking Cricket Club to pursue greater First and Second XI playing opportunities.
With the bat, Taha is a technically accomplished and composed top-order player who builds innings with patience and control before accelerating when required. While his athleticism and safe hands make him a valuable contributor in the field.
Off the field is where Taha has truly established an outstanding reputation. As Head Coach at Spencer Cricket Club, he has progressed through a variety of coaching roles across both junior and senior cricket, working within men’s and women’s programmes, as well as county pathway and disability cricket environments.
An ECB Core Coach (Level Two) currently working towards his Level Three accreditation, Taha delivers a modern coaching philosophy centred around communication, adaptability, intensity, and long-term player development. His sessions combine technical skill development with tactical awareness and game-based scenarios, creating engaging, performance-focused learning environments.
Still actively playing and training alongside professional and first-class cricketers, Taha brings current high-performance standards into every programme he leads. He is widely recognised for his ability to build strong relationships, create positive team cultures, and lead effectively across all levels of the game.
For the 2026/27 season, Taha is seeking a player-coach opportunity in Auckland, New Zealand, where he hopes to make a significant impact both on the field and within a club's coaching structure. Please note that he will be unavailable during December due to pre-arranged family commitments.
A progressive coach, committed cricketer, and outstanding club person, Taha would be an excellent addition to any club seeking a player-coach for the upcoming season.
