Tladi Bokako is a genuine quick, currently plying his trade with Border for the 2025/26 domestic season in South Africa.
A right-arm speedster with real firepower, “Laha,” as he’s affectionately known, has featured alongside some of the country’s best, including Kagiso Rabada, Malusi Siboto, Lutho Sipamla, Bjorn Fortuin, and Wiaan Mulder. Hailing from Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape, he has represented several domestic sides over the years, most notably the Warriors and Cobras, before settling into the Border setup.
His consistency and impact earned him selection for the South African Invitation XI and Emerging Players squads between 2017 and 2019. Since making his first-class debut in 2012, Bokako has racked up over 150 domestic appearances and taken more than 260 wickets across formats.
While predominantly known for his pace, he’s no slouch with the bat either. A lower-order contributor, he’s closing in on 1,000 career runs, with a first-class best of 56 to his name.
Having been a mainstay in South African domestic cricket, Laha is now eager to test himself abroad. Following the 2025/26 season, he is set to pursue his maiden UK league stint in summer 2026. A high-quality seamer with useful lower-order runs, he’s a serious option for clubs seeking genuine pace and depth next season.
