Abbey Mayers is a young and very talented cricketer from Wales.
She plays men's cricket in the North Wales league (Buckley CC) and is her club's opening bowler on a Saturday. A regular wicket taker using her pace and swing, she also bats in the middle order and scores runs at a good rate. Abbey is also an exceptional fielder, very quick and agile with a strong throwing arm.
Abbey has represented her country (Wales) for the last 6 seasons where she also opens the bowling every game. She plays in the Women's Cheshire League (Chester Boughton Hall) again as their opening bowler and also bats up the order.
Abbey is a very intelligent person with a high level of fitness and knowledge of the game. She’s very sociable and a good communicator. Abbey is also an ECB Level 2 coach.
She is now keen to head overseas this winter, with her sister.
