Akhilesh Sahani

Akhilesh Sahani is a talented batting all-rounder who has made his mark in Indian domestic cricket representing Arunachal Pradesh. Known for his calm presence in the middle order and ability to bowl sharp seam-up, Sahani brings genuine two-way value to any side he plays for.

Since making his professional debut in the 2018/19 season, Sahani has featured across formats, accumulating approximately 1,400 runs and 76 wickets. His standout performances include a career-best 102 with the bat* and a 5-91 haul with the ball, underlining his match-winning potential.

His 2022/23 season was arguably his finest to date. He finished as the third-highest run-scorer for his team in the Ranji Trophy, only behind the prolific CricX star Rahul Dalal. That same season, Sahani picked up his maiden first-class five-wicket haul, against Mizoram—an effort that showcased his all-round credentials at the first-class level.

Despite his form, Sahani has not featured in domestic cricket since that campaign. However, he remains determined to force his way back into contention, using the 2025 UK club season as a platform to relaunch. Representing Truro Cricket Club in the Cornwall Premier League, he made a notable impact—particularly with the ball—during his maiden overseas stint.

With a strong domestic resume, a hunger to perform, and the versatility to influence matches with both bat and ball, Akhilesh Sahani is a high-value all-rounder now looking to take the next step in his career through consistent performances at home and abroad.

Note: Looking ahead Sahani is targeting a return to the Ranji Trophy during the 2025/26 season. To ensure his eligibility for UK club cricket in 2026 under current ECB criteria (requiring 5 first-class matches in the last 36 months), he must play at least one Ranji Trophy match prior to 13 December 2025. Should he miss this window, he would need to feature in four additional first-class matches during the upcoming winter to remain eligible.
