Amanullah Rafiqi is yet another run-scoring machine coming through the Afghanistan ranks.

Rafiqi is an incredible talent, who has represented his country throughout the age groups (U17s, U19s), and has excelled in domestic cricket over the past few years.

After an impressive start for Kabul in the Mirwais Nika Provincial Tournament (2018/19), he would go on to star in the Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-Day Tournament, hitting 3 centuries in 4 first-class matches amongst his 442 runs at 63.14.

He would also shine in the Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One-Day Tournament, hitting his maiden century amongst 192 runs at 48.

Unfortunately, COVID struck at the wrong time for Rafiqi who was making waves in domestic cricket. Nevertheless, since his return, he has been a key member of the Band-e-Amir Region side that won the 2021 4-Day Tournament.

A player who comes highly recommended by former team-mate, and Liverpool League sensation Zia Ur Rehman, Rafiqi is no one-trick pony. Whilst known for his dynamic batting, he is a jack of all trades who can both keep wicket and bowl handy off-spin, which he has done in domestic cricket.

The batting all-rounder is a serious talent who was severely let down by a Huddersfield club in 2023, therefore he is seeking another opportunity for 2024.
