Amy Gordon is a highly accomplished all-rounder representing Kent in women’s domestic cricket.
A genuine multi-discipline talent, Gordon began her journey in the Surrey pathway at just nine years old, progressing rapidly through the age groups before making her senior debut aged 14 in 2016. Her leadership qualities were formally recognised in 2022 when she was appointed club captain, and she has also featured extensively in England Academy and Development squads.
After a long and successful spell with Surrey, Gordon moved to Kent ahead of the 2025 season, immediately taking on a leading role by opening both the batting and bowling throughout the campaign. In League Two of the Metro Bank Women’s One Day Cup (List A), she amassed 206 runs at an average of 34.33, including a commanding unbeaten century (111*). Across T20 competitions — League Two of the Vitality Blast and the T20 Women’s County Cup — she added a further 211 runs at 21.10 and claimed 11 wickets at an impressive 18.27.
Prior to her move, Gordon was a key member of the Surrey side that lifted the Division One County Championship title in 2018 and remained a consistent match-winner across subsequent seasons. Her performances earned her selection for England U19s on tour in India, and more recently she captained an England XI to victory at the European Cricket Championship, playing a pivotal role with both bat and ball.
At club level, Gordon captains Woodmansterne in the Surrey Women’s Cricket League, following her move from Reigate Priory CC in 2025. During her time at Reigate, she compiled 1,840 runs at an outstanding average of 65.71 and took 30 wickets at 21.17 for the Women’s 1st XI. Across all clubs, she has been a central figure within the setup, with a strong commitment to developing the next generation of cricketers.
Over the 2025/26 winter, Gordon impressed during an overseas stint in Australia with Kingborough Knights in the Cricket Tasmania Premier League. Her performances were rewarded with selection for the Tasmania Tigers squad in the Women’s National Cricket League.
Set to return to the UK for the 2026 season with both Kent and Woodmansterne, Gordon is an exciting, proven all-rounder actively seeking further overseas opportunities.
