Born on 27 December 2003, he burst onto the first-class scene with a dream debut for Dhaka Metropolis in the 2024–25 National Cricket League, claiming a five-wicket haul in the first innings against Barishal Division on 19 October 2024. He later continued his progression with a List A debut for Partex Sporting Club in the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League on 7 April 2025.
Ashraful’s potential was recognised well before his senior breakthrough. He represented Bangladesh at the 2019 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup in Sri Lanka and was selected as a standby player for the 2020 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in South Africa. Across nine matches for Bangladesh U19s, he consistently displayed maturity, control, and skill beyond his years.
With an impressive start across both red and white-ball cricket, Ashraful is now looking to take the next step in his development. Ahead of the 2026 season, he is keen to follow in the footsteps of many Bangladeshi talents by embarking on his maiden UK stint, an opportunity he is well-equipped to make the most of.
