Belur Sharath

Belur Ravi Sharath is a talented Indian wicket-keeper batsman known for his solid technique and disciplined approach on and off the field. Representing Karnataka in domestic cricket, Sharath made an immediate impact by scoring a century on his first-class debut against the reigning Ranji Trophy champions Vidarbha in November 2018. Since then, he has been a key member of the Karnataka squad, contributing both behind the stumps and with the bat.

Sharath made his T20 debut for Karnataka in January 2018 and soon after featured in List A matches starting February 2018. He has also played in the Karnataka Premier League for the Namma Shivamogga team and represented the South Zone at the under-19 level.

Leadership has been a highlight of his career, with Sharath captaining India’s squad in the 2019 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup in Bangladesh. He also featured for Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2024, gaining valuable exposure at the highest domestic T20 level.

First-class: 20 matches, 616 runs at 23.69 average, including a century and three fifties, with 74 catches and 6 stumpings.
List A: 43 matches, 732 runs at 30.50 average with four fifties, alongside 63 catches and 11 stumpings.
Known for his steady batting strike rates (63.63 in FC, 97.21 in List A).

Sharath’s early experience includes a stint as an amateur with Chester-le-Street in the UK (2016), and he is now keen to return for a full season in England in 2026 to further develop his skills and contribute to a club side with his wicket-keeping and batting expertise.
