Ben Staniforth is a highly regarded Cheshire club cricketer whose career has spanned several of the county’s leading clubs, including Cheshire County Cricket Club, Stockport Georgians Cricket Club, Toft Cricket Club and Hale Barns Cricket Club. Known for his leadership, competitive spirit and commitment to club cricket, Staniforth has established himself as a respected figure within the Cheshire cricket community.
Having developed through the strong club cricket structure in South Manchester and Cheshire, Staniforth earned representative honours with Cheshire County Cricket Club, competing within the National Counties system and showcasing his abilities against some of the strongest county-level amateur cricketers in England. He also represented Worcestershire CCC 2nd XI.
At club level, he has represented both Hale Barns and Toft, gaining experience in the upper tiers of Cheshire league cricket before becoming a key player at Stockport Georgians. His influence at Georgians extended beyond performances on the field, serving first as Vice-Captain and later as Captain of the 1st XI. Under his leadership, the club continued to compete strongly within the Cheshire County Cricket League structure.
