Billy Taylor is an exciting wicket-keeper and opening batsman for Helston CC in the Cornwall Premier League and continually pushes for selection in the Cornwall Minor Counties squad.
Since Billy made his debut for Helston CC 1st XI in 2020 aged 14 he has gone on to make 71 appearances for them. Having cemented his place in the side during the summer of 2021. Having played all of his cricket at Helston, Billy has captained each junior side and also has taken the u13s and u15s to County Champions. During his youth Billy has also played for all of the Cornwall age groups from u10s to u18s, during his final year playing for Cornwall he was also named as Captain. Since then he has also played for the Cornwall 2nd XI side and during last summer made debut for Cornwall CCC.
During his time at Helston he has won the outstanding U18, 4 years in a row and was Helston First XI top run scorer during the 2024 season. He was also in the Top 10 dismissals in all Cornwall Leagues for the 2024 season as well as having the most Dismissals at Helston.
Billy also holds an ECB Core Coach (Level Two) coaching qualification, and is eager to keep expanding his coaching creditials.
During the 25/26 season, Billy headed to Melbourne and joined up with South Caulfield in the Cricket Southern Bayside competition and enjoyed a stellar campaign with 488 runs at 37.54 including a highest score of 156.
Now eager for a return to the Southern Hemisphere, no doubt a great option for any Club seeking a Keeper / Bat with proven success on Australian soil to add to their ranks.
