Calton Takawira is an exciting batting all-rounder who is pushing for Zimbabwean domestic selection this summer.
A former Zimbabwe U19 player, he was a key member of their ICC Under-19 World Cup side in South Africa (January 2024), bagging best figures of 3-44 (9) against Ireland.
Heading into the World Cup, he showed his all-round ability by smoking a quick fire 80 (from 40 balls) in India. Whilst he didn't get many opportunities to showcase his batting talent at the World Cup, Takawira is deemed a batting all-rounder and it's envisaged he'll break into domestic cricket this season.
The pace bowling all-rounder is a serious prospect for Zimbabwe cricket who is now looking to play abroad next season to continue his development.
